Celtic voices, full orchestra

Celtic Woman is bringing its “Home for Christmas: The Symphony Tour” to the Kansas Star Arena inside the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane. The all-female ensemble, which has been around since 2004 and has sold more than 7 million CDs and DVDs worldwide, will sing accompanied by a full symphony orchestra. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $49, $79 and $99 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

Carillon Christmas Concert

The annual Carillon Christmas Concert will ring out over downtown from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The concert originates from the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum. Heritage Square Park behind the museum is closed for construction, but the concert can be heard well on streets and in parking lots near the museum, which is at 204 S. Main. Admission is free. Advent concert

Organist Brett Valliant will demonstrate his musical mastery over a 5,000-pipe organ during his 15th annual Advent concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway. Valliant will perform a selection of Christmas carols, and admission is a donation for the maintenance of the organ. For more information, visit firstwichita.org.
