Country, rap and blues in Wichita venues

Finnigan and Phantom Blues in Wichita

The Phantom Blues Band, a group that features hometown bluesman Mike Finnigan, will perform at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg, on Friday. Finnigan got his musical start on the Wichita club scene in the 1960s. He has toured or recorded with Dave Mason, Taj Mahal, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Jerry Hahn, Maria Muldaur, Rod Stewart, Dan Fogelberg, Etta James, Blood, Sweat and Tears and Joe Cocker. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show is at 8. The opening act is Macy Brothers. Tickets are $35 at the door, by calling 316-722-4201 or at www.thecotillion.com.

The return of Tech N9ne

Tech N9ne will perform Saturday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. He’s a rapper who was raised in Kansas City and performs in Wichita at least once a year. The show also will feature performances by Krizz Kaliko and Stevie Stone. The show starts at 7:45 p.m., and doors open at 7. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show. Lorrie Morgan’s ‘Enchanted Christmas Show’

Country songstress Lorrie Morgan will bring her Christmas tour, “Enchanted Christmas Show,” to Wichita’s Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday. She will perform several holiday favorites as well as her hits including “Five Minutes,” Something in Red,” “Watch Me” and “What Part of No.” Tickets are $35 and $40 at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, by calling 316-755-7328, and at www.selectaseat.com.
