Macy Gray, Vince Gill and a tribute to the 1980s
Macy Gray at Barleycorn’s
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Macy Gray, best known for the hit “I Try,” will perform two shows on Thursday at downtown music venue and bar Barleycorn’s, 608 E. Douglas. The first show, which starts at 7 p.m., is sold out. But there are still tickets available for a 10 p.m. show. They’re $30 each and are available at https://www.ticketfly.com. The show is open to ages 21 and over.
Vince Gill and Time Jumpers at Stiefel
The Time Jumpers, a group of musicians that started getting together just to jam but grew into a Grammy-nominated act with regular gigs, will perform at Salina’s Stiefel Theatre, 151 S. Santa Fe, on Saturday along with one of its most famous members, country star Vince Gill. The current lineup of 10 singers and musicians also includes Kenny Sears on fiddle and Andy Reiss on electric guitar. The concert starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $44, $56 and $64. Paramount at the Cotillion
Paramount, a 1980s tribute group that was founded as the house band for The Paramount Bar in Salina, will bring its line up of cover songs from Journey, Joan Jett, Rick Springfield, Pat Benatar and more to the Cotillion, 11121 W. Kellogg, on Saturday. The show starts at 8 p.m., and the doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 the day of the show.
