Gingerbread Village at Exploration Place
The annual Gingerbread Village, an event that provides families all the tools for building gingerbread houses, happens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean Blvd. It’s put on as a fundraiser for the Assistance League and invites visitors to look at intricately decorated gingerbread houses, make their own using graham crackers, frosting glue and gumdrop decor, and stay to check out the Exploration Place exhibits. Tickets are $5 for Exploration Place members, $9.50 for ages 12 to 64, $8 for seniors 65 and over, $6 for ages 3 to 11 and free for children 2 and under. Fresh Beat Band at Hartman
The Fresh Beat Band, a preschool-focused music group that stars on the Nickelodeon show of the same name, is performing its greatest hits on a tour that stops Thursday at Hartman Arena, 8151 N. Hartman Arena Drive in Park City. The group, made up of members KiKi, Shout, Marina and Twist, will perform songs from the first three seasons of the series, which is designed to teach preschoolers about music appreciation and expressing their feelings through movement and song. Tickets are $25-$35 at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 316-927-3999. Children 2 and under will be admitted free if they are held by a parent or guardian. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show starts at 6 p.m.

Comedian Seinfeld at Century II
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, most famous for the 1990s sitcom “Seinfeld,” will perform his stand-up routine on Thursday at Wichita’s Century II Concert Hall. Seinfeld last performed in Wichita in August of 2012, and he also was here in 2004.
