Wichita events: Diwali, Holiday Tables and Toy Run

Festival of Lights

The Cultural Association of India Wichita will celebrate Diwali on Saturday. This Festival of Lights will include dinner, cultural performances and chai tea after the show. The meet-and-greet starts at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6 and the show at 8 in Century II’s Mary Jane Teall Theater, 225 W. Douglas. Tickets are $25 and are available at www.cai-wichita.org/Events. Wichita Toy Run

The 2014 Wichita Toy Run Rally takes place Sunday. Bikers should bring a new unwrapped toy or cash donation to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, 300 S. Sycamore. The lineup starts at 10 a.m. with prizes, vendors and a $5 chili feed. Bikes leave at 1 p.m. for the Kansas Pavilions. Girls’ Night Out at Wichita Center for the Arts

It’s time to start thinking about the holidays. Start the season with Holiday Tables at the Wichita Center for the Arts, 9112 E. Central. A special Girls’ Night Out event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday will feature sangrias, snacks, live music and a vintage fashion show. And, of course, you can also get a look at the decorated tables. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For reservations, call 316-634-2787. The Holiday Tables are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Admission is $10.
