Mesmerized by cat videos? Wichita’s CatVideoFest might be purrfect for you.

Entertainment options in Wichita this weekend are diverse and range from a cat video festival to a book swap to a country concert.

Here’s a look at some of the fun things scheduled for in and around Wichita in the coming days:

Cat videos galore

3 p.m. Saturday, Emily Bonavia Tallgrass Film Center. 120 E. First St.

Calling fans of cat videos: The Wichita Animal Action League is putting on a fundraising event called CatVideoFest that will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Emily Bonavia Tallgrass Film Center at the Lux. It will feature a 73-minute compilation reel of “the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses.” Tickets are $9.43 at tallgrassfilmcenter.eventive.org/schedule, and a portion of ticket sales will go to the Wichita Animal Action League.

It’s First Friday

Friday evening, galleries across Wichita

First Friday has rolled back around, and as usual, Wichita will be filled with art openings at galleries across town. Among those participating this month is Art House 310 at 310 S. Laura, which on Friday will have an opening reception for a show by painter Kelly Rundell and mixed-media artist Michael Davenport. PeachFest

10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Blood Orchard, 6436 S. Broadway

Blood Orchard at 6346 S. Broadway is putting on its annual PeachFest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. It will feature fresh peaches for sale, food trucks selling dishes made with peaches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a vintage market. People will need to purchase tickets to attend. Anime Fest

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Century II Exhibition Hall, 225 W. Douglas

Anime Kansas returns to Century II’s Exhibition Hall this weekend. The event will include cosplay showcases, artist booths, panels and meet-and-greets with voice actors, including Kyle Hebert, David Vincent, Linda Young and Cynthia Cranz. The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Day passes are $35.25 for adults on Saturday and $23.75 on Sunday. Swap your books

11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Wichita Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. Second St.

Those in search of a new book to read or who need to clear their shelves of already-read books can visit Saturday’s ReadICT Book Swap at the Wichita Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. Second St. The event, hosted by KMUW and ReadICT’s Suzanne Perez, will last from 11 a.m. to noon. It invites people to bring their unwanted books and swap with others. Any books left over will go to the Friends of the Wichita Public Library. Admission is free.

Country concert in Andover

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Capitol Federal Amphitheater, 1607 E. Central, Andover

Country music star and Grammy nominee Chris Young, known for hits such as “Famous Friends” and “I’m Comin’ Over,” will headline a concert on Saturday at Andover’s Capitol Federal Amphitheater. The opening act will be singer/songwriter Caylee Hammack. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 to $117 at selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

MTW presents ‘Newsies’

Tickets are still available for Music Theatre Wichita’s production of “Newsies,” a musical about the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, which saw young newspaper carriers stand up to publishers Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst after price increases affected their profits. Remaining showtimes are 8 p.m. today and Saturday; 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Century II Concert Hall.
