Lego fans gathering in Wichita this weekend to build, buy, bond

Wichita’s Century II Expo Hall will be filled this weekend with Lego fans wanting to buy, build and hang out with Lego celebrities. The Wichita Brick Convention will put on four sessions — two on Saturday and two on Sunday — and tickets are still available.

That’s not the only fun thing happening around town, though. The annual Wichita Taco Fest returns on Saturday, and one of the Wichita-area finalists from “The Voice” will perform at a local cocktail bar.

Here’s a closer look at some of the best bets for fun in Wichita this weekend:

Lego fan expo

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Century II Exhibition Hall

Wichita Lego fans will gather on Saturday and Sunday for the Wichita Brick Convention, which will take over Century II’s Exhibition Hall. The traveling event will feature Lego creations made by Lego artists from across the United States, meet-and-greets with Lego celebrities, a construction zone, live Lego builds and brick vendors. The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and will be split up into two sessions each day – one that starts at 10 a.m. and one that starts at 2 p.m. General admission tickets are $14 plus fees for each session and are available at selectaseat.com

Wichita Taco Fest

3-9 p.m. Saturday, Fountains at WaterWalk, 520 S. Wichita St.

It’s Wichita Taco Fest weekend. The popular annual taco-eating event will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at a different spot: the Fountains at WaterWalk. For the past several years, Festive ICT’s popular taco fest was staged at Andover’s Capitol Federal Amphitheater. But this year, it’s moving back to Wichita. The event will feature tacos plus chips and salsa from many local restaurants and food vendors and also will include a Tequila Expo, Lucha Libre wrestling, dancers and a kid’s zone. Tickets are available online through Friday for $17 plus fees at www.festiveict.com/wichita-taco-fest-tickets. Tickets for a VIP Tequila Expo are $65 plus fees and are available at the same link through Friday. General admission tickets the day of the event will be $25 at the gate.

A tribute to The Boss

8 p.m. Friday, the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

The chances that Bruce Springsteen will perform again in Wichita: not great. The chances that Wichitans will get to hear all his hits performed by a Bruce Springsteen tribute band this weekend: 100%. The Boss Project, a Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tribute act from South Florida, will play at the Cotillion at 8 p.m. on Friday and will offer up favorite Springsteen songs like “Born to Run” and “Hungry Heart.” Tickets are $31.59 at www.thecotillion.com. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Wichita Pride finale

Saturday, Century II Expo Hall

Wichita Pride 2025 wraps up on Saturday with a rally, parade, festival and an after-party. The rally starts at 11 a.m. at 525 N. Main St., and the parade will leave from there at 11:30 a.m. The festival is from noon to 4 p.m. at Century II’s Expo Hall and will include vendors, a drag story hour and more. Century II also is the site of the after party, which lasts from 8 to 11 p.m. and will include an appearance by DJ Honey Davenport of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” The after-party is open to ages 18 and over. Admission to all Pride events is a $12.25 button, available at selectaseat.com

6:30 p.m. Friday, Eberly Farm, 13111 W. 21st St.

Several summer concert series will continue around Wichita this weekend, including one that launched at the end of May at Eberly Farm. The venue’s second summer concert is scheduled for Friday and will feature rock band Eclipse at 7:30 p.m. The opening act is Damaris Kunkler at 6:30 p.m. Other shows in the series will happen on July 11, July 18 and Aug. 8. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. each week. The venue will offer a cash bar and concessions, and the shows are open to all ages. Admission is $10 at the door. See a full lineup of bands at eberlyfarm.com

“The Voice” contestant, live

8 p.m. Saturday, Oliver’s Lounge, 4717 E. Douglas
