Wichita hasn’t seen pop star Justin Timberlake since the ’90s. That’s about to change.

It’s Justin Timberlake weekend in Wichita. The headline-grabbing star is set to perform at Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena on Sunday, and he hasn’t been in town since he was in boy band ‘N Sync in the 1990s.

Also on the calendar this weekend are lots of holiday events and a concert by “The Voice” winners Girl Named Tom.

Here’s a look at some of the best events on Wichita’s busy calendar this weekend:

JT in concert

7:30 p.m. Sunday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Pop star Justin Timberlake is returning to Wichita for the first time since he was a teenager, and tickets are still available for the Wichita stop of his ”The Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” which happens at Intrust Bank Arena on Sunday. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 to $175 at selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Victorian Christmas

6-9 p.m. Friday-Saturday and Dec. 13-14, Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 W. Museum Blvd.

Old Cowtown Museum’s annual Victorian Christmas event starts this weekend and will fill the venue with holiday activities, including carolers, hot chocolate and more. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Dec. 13-14. Tickets are $15 a person at bit.ly/2024VictorianChristmas or at the door. They’re free for members. Carriage rides in Old Town

6-9 p.m. Fridays, Old Town

Old Town Wichita’s holiday horse-drawn carriage rides haven’t happened since 2019, but they’re back this year and will run from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday until Christmas. Pickups and dropoffs happen in Old Town Square. The rides, put on by Brower Carriages of Augusta, are free.

A holly, jazzy Christmas

8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Walker’s Jazz Lounge, 252 N. Mosley

Those who like their Christmas season a little jazzy can catch a performance of Matt Wilson’s Christmas Tree-O at Walker’s Jazz Lounge. The group, made up of Wilson, an acclaimed jazz drummer, plus Paul Sikivie and Jeff Lederer, will offer classic holiday melodies with a jazzy twist. The show is for ages 21 and older. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $40-$45 www.walkersjazzlounge.com

It’s First Friday again

Friday, various Wichita art galleries

First Friday has come around again, and Wichita galleries are inviting art fans to visit opening-night receptions for various shows. One special event for December: Well-known local artist Wade Hampton will put on another one of his holiday art shows from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Local Roasters, 2828 E. Douglas. The show will feature 10 new paintings and more than 100 new drawings for sale. Girl Named Tom

7:30 p.m. Friday, Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway

“The Voice” winners Girl Named Tom, made up of siblings Bekah, Joshua and Caleb Liechty, will perform at Wichita’s Orpheum Theatre on Friday. The group, which hails from Ohio, is best known for covers of songs such as “River,” “The Chain,” and “Dust in the Wind.” The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $59-$69 at selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

“The Runaway Snowman”

10 a.m. and noon Friday-Saturday, 201 S. Lulu

Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center is putting on its holiday show called “The Runaway Snowman.” Showtimes are 10 a.m. and noon Friday and 10 a.m. and noon Saturday at the theater, 201 S. Lulu. Tickets for the show only are $9. Those who attend the noon shows and want a pizza lunch that starts at 11:30 a.m. pay $11. The show is appropriate for ages 2 and up and lasts 30-45 minutes. Return of WWE

6:30 p.m. Monday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

WWE Monday Night RAW returns to Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena on Monday and will feature appearances by WWE stars such as Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the action starts 6:30 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $65 and are available at selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.
