It’ll be a busy weekend in Wichita. Not only are the Kansas City Chiefs playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but it’s also the start of Lunar New Year. Plus, big concerts are happening in venues all over town.

If you’re disappointed you didn’t get tickets to tonight’s sold-out Cody Johnson concert at Intrust Bank Arena, don’t give up. The venue says additional tickets could be released the day of and that fans should keep checking selectaseat.com

Cody Johnson at Intrust Bank Arena

7:30 p.m. Friday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Country star Cody Johnson’s Friday concert at Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena is sold out, but those who want to go can check on Friday for the possible release of last-minute tickets, arena officials say. Johnson, who is known for hits like “Till You Can’t” and “Dear Rodeo,” released his newest album “Leather” late last year. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and Johnson will perform after opening acts Justin Moore and Dillon Carmichael. Check for tickets at selectaseat.com

Johnny Cash concert experience

7:30 p.m. Friday, Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway

“Johnny Cash – The Official Concert Experience” arrives at The Orpheum Theatre on Friday night and will feature a tribute band performing along with videos of “The Man in Black” from old episodes of “The Johnny Cash Show.” Those who attend can expect to hear songs including “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Ring of Fire,” and “I Walk the Line.” The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $24-$80 at www.selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Extreme and Living Colour

8 p.m. Tuesday, The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

Extreme — the band best known for its 1990 hits “More than Words” and “Hole Hearted,” will perform at The Cotillion on Tuesday. The show starts at 8 p.m., and another band from the 1990s, Living Colour, will warm up the crowd. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available for the show and range from $39.50 to $59.50 at thecotillion.com

Explore Asia at Mark Arts

10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Mark Arts, 1307 N. Rock Road

Mark Arts will be celebrating the Lunar New Year on Saturday with its monthly Art Together event, which this time is titled “Explore Asia.” The event, which is aimed at youth and families, starts at 10 a.m. with a reading by Miss Wichita Asian Festival. After, people can participate in an art activity where they’ll make Chinese paint brush bookmarks, paper chains and more. A musical and traditional dance performance will follow at 11 a.m. Admission is free, but advance registration is requested at markartsks.com/public-programming/

Elegant date night

8 p.m. Saturday, Brick & Mortar, 230 S. Topeka

“Refresh: An Elegant Night Out” is an event scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at the Brick & Mortar venue that offers people a chance to get dressed up for a “classy date night.” The events used to happen at Abode Venue and now are being revived in the new space. Tickets, which range from $32.50 to $40, will include dancing and music by DJ Carbon and Harrison Steele, and aerialists from Flow Foundry ICT will also perform. Super Bowl watch party

4 p.m., Odd Fellow Hall, 930 W. Douglas

Bars and restaurants all over town will be welcoming people to watch the Kansas City Chiefs try to win another Super Bowl on Sunday, but one event venue will be, too. Odd Fellow Hall in Delano is putting on a watch party that starts at 4 p.m. and will include music by DJ Tommy Billions before and after the game. The venue’s in-house chefs will be serving game-day food, and two bars will be serving signature cocktails. The game will be projected on a 140-inch screen via projector. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
