The heat is on! Summer rules! Here are 10 things to do in the Wichita area this weekend, whether you either want to get into the heat or out of it.

Inklings Festival, literary presentations 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th St., $35; music by five local bands including Mitch McVicker, children’s activities, food trucks, beer from local brewers, an Inklings dress-up photo booth and presentations by local craftsmen, 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, parking lot behind Eighth Day Books at 2838 E.
