Whether you’re in the mood for live music, shopping or art appreciation, there’s plenty to do in Wichita this weekend.

Here are some of the many activities going on.

Return of the flea market

Saturday and Sunday, Kansas Star Casino Arena, 777 Kansas Star Drive, Mulvane

If you’re a flea market shopper, be warned: The Wichita Flea Market is on the move again. After a year at the South Wichita YMCA, the market will move around throughout 2023, and its first installment is this weekend at the Kansas Star Casino Arena in Mulvane. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission at the door is $3 for a one-day pass and $5 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.

Cars for Charities

Friday through Sunday, Century II Convention Center, 225 W. Douglas

The annual Cars for Charities Rod & Custom Car Show returns to the Century II Convention Center this weekend for three days of car viewing, kids activities and more. It’s one of the longest-running indoor car shows in the country and was started by Darryl Starbird in 1957. This year’s event will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Money raised will benefit Starkey and AbilityPoint. Admission to the show is $14 for adults, $13 for members of the military, $8 for ages 12-17 and free for children 11 and younger. Country music at TempleLive

8 p.m. Saturday, 332 E. First St. North

Country star Chris Cagle, known for hits like “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out” and “What A Beautiful Day,” will perform a concert on Saturday at TempleLive, the venue inside the Scottish Rite in downtown Wichita. The show starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and the doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $29-$39 at wichita.templelive.com

Sketch comedy

8 p.m. Friday, Harvester Arts, 215 N. Washington

The Men’s Scrapbooking Club, a group of local performers known for absurdist and interactive sketch comedy shows, will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday at Harvester Arts. While the show starts at 8 p.m., there’s a twist: The night before the show, the performers will meet up to write and rehearse the whole thing. Admission is a $10 suggested donation.

Art Together

10 a.m. Saturday, Mark Arts, 1307 N. Rock Road

Mark Arts is putting on another Art Together event this weekend. This time, the theme is “The Wild Side,” and the event will feature a 10 a.m. story time, activities for all age groups and meet-and-greet with Peanut the Opossum from Great Plains Nature Center. Admission is free, by RSVPs are encouraged at markartsks.com/arttogether/

Chase Matthew cotillion

7 p.m. Thursday, The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

Rising country star and viral sensation Chase Matthew, known for the hit song “County Line,” will be in Wichita on Thursday for a concert with Kidd G, with whom he recorded the song “Can’t Hide Love.” The show is at 7 p.m. on Thursday at The Cotillion, and the doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $29.50 to $179.50 and are available at thecotillion.com. The opening act is Avery Anna.
