Branch & Dean at Abode

Nashville recording artists Steve Branch and Dean Scallan, a country duo known as Branch & Dean, will kick off their nationwide “Live Your Dash” tour at 7 p.m. Thursday at Abode Venue, 1330 E. Douglas. The duo was nominated as Best Country Duo/Group at the 2015 Nashville Industry Music Awards. All ticket proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets for a meet-and-greet with the band, along with dinner from Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, are available for $25.

KEYN concert series starts Friday

Hip-hop artist King Midas will kick off the KEYN summer concert series Friday at the WaterWalk, 515 S. Main. The free six-week series will feature concerts and food trucks each Friday night. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the band performs at 8. Oldies rock band the Funtones, Annie Up, Lucky People, the Astronauts and Across the Pond also will perform in the series, which ends on Aug. 14. California comedian at Loony Bin

Up-and-coming California comedian Daniel Dugar, a fixture on the hip-hop comedy scene who has opened for comics like D.L. Hughley, Damon Wayans and Cedric the Entertainer, will perform this weekend at the Loony Bin, 215 N. St. Francis. He’ll offer his stand-up routine at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and tickets to all shows are $12. They’re available at www.loonybincomedy.com/Wichita.
