What to do this weekend in Wichita: Country shows and lots of other live music

It’ll be a musical week in and around Wichita with a big country concert at Intrust Bank Arena, urban music at the Grub & Groove festival and lots of other concerts at venues all over town.

Here’s where to listen to the music:

Morgan Wallen in Wichita

7 p.m. Thursday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Country singer Morgan Wallen will bring his Dangerous Tour to Wichita on Thursday for a nearly sold-out stop at Intrust Bank Arena. Wallen has had several No. 1 hits and is known for songs like “Whiskey Glasses,” “Wasted On You” and “Sand In My Boots.” The only tickets remaining are on the platinum level and range from $425 to $595 at selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-SEAT or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Bart Crow show

8 p.m. Friday, TempleLive, 332 E. First St.

Country artist Bart Crow will be in Wichita on Friday for a show at TempleLive. Crow is a Texas native who got into songwriting while in the army then went on to produce several hits, including songs like “Wear My Ring,” “Run With the Devil” and “All I Need.” The doors for the concert open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Individual tickets are $15, or a four-pack of tickets is $40 at ticketmaster.com

Botanica’s last summer concert

6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Botanica, 701 N. Amidon Ave.

Tuesday is the last chance this year to attend Twilight Tunes on the Terrace, Botanica’s monthly summer concert series that started back in May. Guests can walk through the gardens before enjoying live music on the terrace by the band Across The Pond. Cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale as well as food from Molino’s Mexican Cuisine. Attendees also can bring outside food and snacks, but no outside alcohol is permitted. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tickets are $12 for non-members, $10 for members, and $6 for premium members. Tickets must be purchased at botanica.org and won’t be sold at the door.

Rock show at Wave

7 p.m. Saturday, Wave, 650 E. Second

American rock band A Day To Remember is bringing its tour to Wichita on Saturday. The band, best known for songs like “The Downfall Of Us All,” “If It Means A Lot To You,” and “All I Want” will perform at WAVE along with openers Beartooth, a hardcore punk band, and Bad Omens, a metalcore band. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. at Wave’s outdoor stage. General admission tickets are $49.50, and seated tickets are $59.50 at waveict.com

‘Smokey and the Bandit’

7 p.m. Friday, Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway

The Orpheum Theatre will put on a 45th anniversary screening of the classic 1977 action comedy film “Smokey and the Bandit,” which stars Burt Reynolds, Sally Field and Jackie Gleason and was the first film directed by stuntman Hal Needham. The event will include Hot-2-Trot Gourmet Hot Dogs and Urban Skillet food trucks as well as drink specials, games and prizes. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the screening will start at 7 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $12 when purchased the day of the show at selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-SEAT or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Grub & Groove

5 p.m. Saturday, Capital Federal Amphitheater, Andover

The annual Grub & Groove festival, an urban music festival that will feature food and music by Grammy-award winning artists, happens Saturday at Andover’s Capitol Federal Amphitheater. The event, open to ages 21 and over, starts at 5 p.m. and will feature performances by Kevin Ross, Karyn White, Rose Royce, Dazz Band and Confunkshun. Doors open at 3 p.m. General admission tickets are $66.58, and VIP tickets, which include a seat at a reserved table, are $102.35. Get tickets at www.grubandgroovefestival.com
