Need a ticket for a Century II event? The venue is now using a different ticketing agency
If you’re trying to buy a ticket for this weekend’s Gun and Knife Show or next weekend’s Common Threads Regional Quilt Show, don’t go to wichitatix.com.
As of Monday, Century II has a new ticket vendor, one that Wichita is already familiar with: Select-A-Seat. That company also handles ticket sales at Intrust Bank Arena and The Orpheum Theatre.
Back in September, the city of Wichita voted to privatize Century II and outsource its operations to ASM Global, the same company that manages the arena and the Orpheum.
Now, when people want tickets to Century II events, they should call 316-755-7328, visit selectaseat.com or go to the Century II box office between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. In-person tickets for Century II events also will now be available at the Select-A-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena, which has the same hours as the Century II box office.
Select-a-Seat won’t, however, handle ticketing for Music Theatre Wichita and the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, both of which use Century II and both of which manage their own ticketing.
Broadway in Wichita, which next summer will include a production of “Hamilton,” is still using wichitatix.com to handle its season ticket renewals, but when single tickets for the shows go on sale in late summer or early fall, it will use Select-A-Seat.
All current season tickets for Broadway in Wichita subscribers will be transferred to Select-A-Seat before the season’s first show, and Select-A-Seat will reach out to those people then.
