In This Moment at the Cotillion
Los Angeles-based metal band In This Moment is touring to support its most-recent album “Black Widow” and will stop at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg, on Friday. The show starts at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6. Also on the bill: 36 Crazyfists, The Defiled and First Decree. Tickets are $30 the day of the show and are available at www.thecotillion.com or by calling 316-722-4201.
CD release party
Local musician Joe Stumpe, who frequently plays local bar and fundraiser gigs, both solo and as the leader of the Fly by Night band, is putting on a CD release party for his new album, “Jump the Track.” It will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island. Admission is free, and copies of the CD, which feature 16 original songs written by Stumpe, will be sold for $10 each. Performing alongside Stumpe at the party will be several of the local musicians who appear on the CD, including Robin Macy, Ken White and Carter Green. “Jump the Track” is Stumpe’s fourth CD, following “So Last Year,” “Drinking Songs for All Occasions” and “Six of One.”
Americana-Na CD release party
Local Americana band Americana-Na, who is about to embark on a mini-tour of Texas, will release its debut album at a party that starts at 10 p.m. Thursday at Kirby’s Beer Store, 3227 E. 17th St. CDs will be available starting at 9 p.m. Wichita punk band Boot will open the show. Admission is free. Americana-Na was formed in 2014 by members Jonathan Eaton, Tyson Buffington and Brian Reitmayer.
