The concert by Alabama and The Beach Boys that was supposed to happen at Intrust Bank Arena this weekend is being postponed for a third time.

The concert, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to Sept. 25 of this year “due to several positive COVID-19 tests within the Alabama band,” according to an update posted Wednesday on Intrust Bank Arena’s website.

The bands have been trying to get their 50th Anniversary Tour to Wichita since late 2019. It was initially scheduled for Nov. 2 of that year but was postponed because of lead singer Randy Owen’s health problems.

The concert was rescheduled for July 31 of 2020 but postponed again because of the pandemic. The date moved to March 27, 2021 but again was pushed back.

The band’s show scheduled for Friday in Little Rock has also been postponed.

Tickets already purchased will be honored in September, the announcement said. Those unable to attend on that date can get a refund by emailing info@selectaseat.com.
