The Cotillion at 11120 W. Kellogg in Wichita this week announced two big throwback concerts.

One will feature a trio of brothers who hit it big in the late 1990s. The other will be headlined by two emo bands who gained popularity in the early 2000s.

The Cotillion announced on Thursday that Hanson — a pop group made up of brothers Taylor, Isaac and Zac — would include Wichita on a stop of its Red Green Blue tour scheduled for Sept. 11. Tickets go on sale Jan. 20 at thecotillion.com.

The brothers are touring in support of their album of the same name, which will be released in May and will be a collection of the brothers’ three solo projects. The band is about to celebrate 30 years together and is best known for its hit “MMMbop.”

Earlier this week, the Cotillion also added a show to its calendar featuring two well-known EMO bands. Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional are headlining the Surviving The Truth Tour, which will arrive in Wichita on March 4.

Jimmy Eat World’s big hit is “The Middle,” while Dashboard Confessional is known for “Don’t Wait” and “Stolen.”

Tickets are $40 and go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday at thecotillion.com.
