The second weekend of October in Wichita will be a busy one: The Women’s Fair is putting on a holiday market at Century II, and a big Bloktoberfest party is happening outside at Union Station.

But there’s even more fun to choose from, including a popular annual food sale, a couple of big concerts and a unique show from the Wichita Symphony Orchestra (minus conductor Daniel Hege.)

Here are some of your options:

TobyMac in concert

7 p.m. Saturday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Seven-time Grammy winner TobyMac will perform a show at Intrust Bank Arena on Saturday as part of his “Hits Deep Tour.” TobyMac is a Christian hip-hop rapper and singer best known for his songs like “I Just Need U” and “Love Broke Thru.” Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $12 to $70 and can be purchased at the Select-A-Seat outlet at Intrust Bank Arena, by calling 316-755-7328 or at www.selectaseat.com.

Return of St. George dinner

4-8 p.m. Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday, St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th St. North

The last St. George Lebanese Dinner & Food Sale was in 2018, but it returns this weekend as a drive-through only event. The popular sale is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. People who drive through can get meals that are $20 apiece for adults, $15 for children 10 and under and include salad, pita bread, cabbage rolls, kibba, ruz and yuknee — which is a Lebanese green bean, rice and tomato stew — and baklawa. The setup will include three lanes of traffic, and church members holding iPads will direct people to the correct lanes. People also will be able to pick up extra servings of things like kibba, grape leaves and baklawa that they would normally get at the event’s Country Kitchen at the drive-through. Tickets will be available on site and can also be picked up at the church.

Bootanica is back

11-4 p.m. Saturday, Botanica, 701 N. Amidon

Botanica’ annual Halloween celebration — Bootanica — is back this weekend and will fill the gardens with more than 25 Halloween activity stations, including a hay bale maze, a petting zoo, a Disney sing along, an inflatable slide and more. There also will be food trucks, live music, and specialty drinks sold by Buffalo Brew. Bootanica will happen from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and people are encouraged to wear costumes, though they’re not required. Tickets are $12 for adults or $9 for kids and Botanica members. Children 2 and under are free. All tickets must be purchased in advance at botanica.org.

Symphonic ode to Cowtown

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Century II Concert Hall

The Wichita Symphony Orchestra will debut “Old Cowtown Suite” — a new piece written by film composer George S. Clinton and inspired by a visit to Wichita’s Old Cowtown Museum — on Saturday night at Century II Concert Hall, but there will be a big change. Conductor and Music Director Daniel Hege had to cancel his participation “due to illness,” symphony officials said this week. Instead, the show will be conducted by Brett Mitchell, former Music Director of the Colorado Symphony. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25-$65 at wichitasymphony.org or by calling 316-267-7658
