Foo Fighters are returning to Wichita, but this show will include something extra

The Foo Fighters are coming back to Wichita, this time bringing their 25th anniversary tour — and offering a sneak peek at a documentary by popular front-man Dave Grohl.

The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on April 18 at Intrust Bank Arena. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, though the arena didn’t release any ticket prices.

This will be the group’s third trip to Wichita since Intrust Bank Arena opened in 2010.

The 2020 Van Tour is celebrating the group’s first outing in a Dodge van back in 1995. Each show will start with an excerpt from Grohl’s new documentary, called “What Drives Us,” a look at what motivates bands including Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Metallica and more to leave behind their lives and tour the country playing music.

The group last performed at the arena in November 2017. They also famously stopped in Wichita in 2015, when an injured Grohl played the entire show seated and wearing a cast.

Tickets will be available at the Select-a-Seat box office at Intrust Bank Arena, by calling 316-755-7328 or at www.selectaseat.com.
