Colt Ford at the Cotillion
His real name is Jason Farris Brown, but his stage name is Colt Ford, and he’s a country rapper known for songs like “Ride Through the Country,” a song later covered by Jason Aldean. Ford will perform Friday at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg. His opening act is country singer Bryson Jennings. Tickets are $28 and are available at the door. John Moreland at Rock Island Live
Singer-songwriter John Moreland, who just released an album called “High on Tulsa Heat,” will perform at Rock Island Live, 120 N. Rock Island, on Saturday. The singer has been writing music since he was 10, the same year he moved to Tulsa with his family. His music has been featured on the FX show “Sons of Anarchy.” Moreland’s show starts at 9 p.m. It’s open to people 21 and older, and admission is $7.
Concert in the Courtyard
Seattle-based singer Jill Cohn will perform in the courtyard at Grace Hill Winery, 6310 S. Grace Hill Road in Whitewater, at 6 p.m. Friday. Cohn sings easy-listening folk music, which she’ll perform inside if the weather is bad. Admission for the concert is $10 a carload. For more information, call 316-799-2511.
