Thursday is the last day to buy $5 Riverfest buttons. After that, the price will go up to $10.

Button buyers have until 5 p.m. Thursday to get the buttons at the Wichita Festivals Inc. office at 444 E. William. They have until 6 p.m. to buy them at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, 500 E. Waterman. After that, the price goes up to $10, though child buttons will remain $3.

Starting Friday morning, the $10 buttons will be available at QuikTrip and Dillons stores as well as at the Intrust Bank Arena Box office and at the Wichita Festivals Inc. office.

Festival organizers also have planned a button launch party for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Farm & Art Market Plaza, 835 E. First St. Admission is free, and attendees can try some Riverfest food, get craft beer samples and hear music, meet the Admiral Windwagon Smith and see a balloon artist.

The festival has so far sold about 12,500 early-bird buttons, said festival President and CEO Mary Beth Jarvis.

“Clearly, the word is getting out,” she said.

The Wichita River Festival is May 29 through June 6. For more information, visit http://wichitariverfest.com.
