Man in Black at Kansas Star

Johnny Cash tribute artist Shawn Barker will perform the legendary singer’s songs, from his days with June Carter Cash until his final recordings before his death in 2003, on Saturday at the Kansas Star Casino. Barker will perform at 3 and 8 p.m. in the Event Center Ballroom. Tickets are $15 and $20 at www.ticketmaster.com.

Dueling pianos at Larry Bud’s

Larry Bud’s at 6200 W. 21st St. is still transitioning into its new concept, a piano bar that will be called Calleigh’s 88. But it’s already started offering a regular schedule of dueling piano performances every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission to the shows is $7, and people who want the best tables should make reservations by calling 316-729-2837.

Concerts at the Cotillion

The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg, will have two concerts over the next several days. On Friday, Somo, also known as Joseph Anthony Somers-Morales, will perform starting at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $23. Somo is an R&B singer from Texas and is known for the hit “Ride.” Then, on Wednesday, JJ Grey & Mofro, a Southern rock act from Florida, will perform. Tickets are $21.50 in advance, $25 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show is at 8. Tickets to both concerts are available at www.thecotillion.com/, by calling 316-722-4201 or at the door.
