3 weekend events in Wichita: Wild Kratts Live, Second City comedy, Jurassic Quest

‘Wild Kratts Live’ at the Orpheum

The stars of PBS’ popular “Wild Kratts” will be at the Orpheum on Saturday for two performances. The first show at 3 p.m. sold out, so another show at 6:30 p.m. was added. “Wild Kratts” follows two brothers who go on expeditions with animals. Tickets are $35-$75 at selectaseat.com or 855-755-7328. Tickets are required for all children over the age of 2.

Second City at the Orpheum

The famed comedy troupe Second City – whose alumni include Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert – returns to Wichita with the improv and sketch show “Second City Hits Home.” The Chicago troupe will mine material from Wichita headlines and events and from Second City’s archives. It happens at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Orpheum. Tickets are $27.50 and $32.50 at selectaseat.com or 855-755-7328.

Jurassic Quest at Century II

Dinosaurs are coming to Century II. “Jurassic Quest” features dino-centric exhibits, life-size dinosaurs, a “Dino Bounce,” crafts, fossil digs, face painting, rides and more. Tickets are $16.50 for kids ages 2-12, $22 for adults and $19.80 for seniors. A VIP kids pass, which includes unlimited rides, bungee pulls, inflatables and more, is $26.40. The event is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Century II Expo Hall, 225 W. Douglas. Buy tickets at wichitatix.com or at the door.
