Calling all fidget spinners: Win some cash with your mad skills
To all the fidget spinner extraordinaires out there who’ve dedicated countless hours to their fidget spinning craft, Carousel Skate Center is providing a platform to showcase those skills.
Carousel, 312 N. West St., will hold a range of fidget spinning competitions from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with $250 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
A fidget spinner is a three-pronged, ball-bearing device that users spin between their fingers, on their forehead or wherever they can think up.
All ages are welcome to the spin-off, but the competitions will be split into multiple age groups.
There will be a variety of competition categories, including longest spin, best transfer spin and most unique spin or trick.
Admission is $10 and includes entry to all competitions, skating, one slice of pizza and one soda.
Participants can bring their own fidget spinner or purchase one on site for $10.
