Blues workshop, show at museum

Blues musician Bob Margolin, who did a stint touring with Muddy Waters in the early 1970s, will put on a workshop and performance Friday at the Kansas African American Museum, 601 N. Water. The show, presented by the Wichita Blues Society, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and is open to all ages. It also will include a question-and-answer session. Admission is $5 for Wichita Blues Society members and $10 for nonmembers. Attendees under 18 will be admitted free.

Monterey Jack at Brickyard

Popular local cover band Monterey Jack will be back on the patio Saturday at the Brickyard, an open-air bar at 129 N. Rock Island in Old Town. The group will perform starting at 9:30 p.m., and admission is $5. For more information, call 316-263-4044.

Kristin Key at Live at 215

Comedian Kristin Key is bringing her stand-up show to Live at 215, the comedy venue at 215 N. St. Francis. Key, a native of Amarillo, Texas, is a regular on The Bob & Tom Show and has appeared on many major networks, including VH-1 and Bravo. Her shows are at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, when tickets will be $12, and at 8 p.m. Sunday, when tickets will be $8. For tickets and information, visit www.liveat215.com.
