  • Nōka posted a 'Closed Tonight' private‑party notice, sparking Swift‑Kelce rumors.
  • Photos from the event showed Paul Rudd, owner Amante Domingo and a celebrity couple.
  • Previous Swift and Kelce visits and a birthday meal at Nōka fuel local media interest.

When Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his bride-to-be, superstar singer Taylor Swift, visit a local restaurant, it’s a pretty big deal.

The couple dined at least a few times last year at Nōka, which is Japanese for farmer. The restaurant, which opened in 2023, is located at Martini Corner in the Crossroads.

Nōka’s Japanese cuisine includes sushi, seafood and wagyu hamburgers, and it was the spot Kelce and Swift chose to celebrate his 35th birthday a year ago. That’s according to the New York Post, which said the couple also had been there for a private meal.

That’s noteworthy because Nōka on Thursday teased a visit from Swift and Kelce.

In an Instagram story, Nōka shared a photo with this message: “Closed Tonight for a private party. See you all tomorrow!”

That picture is what leads one to believe Kelce and Swift were at Nōka. The photo shows actor/Shawnee Mission West graduate Paul Rudd, who had a burger in each hand, Nōka owner/chef Amante Domingo, and Swift and Kelce.

Perhaps it’s Rudd who rented out the restaurant instead of Kelce and Swift, or maybe it’s all three. It’s also possible that it was photoshopped. Whatever the case, the social-media message certainly hinted that Kansas City’s biggest celebrity couple was at Nōka on Thursday.
