It’s cool to see how Kansas City’s professional sports teams support one another, and we got another example of that this week.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce held his annual celebrity game challenge at Operation Breakthrough, a non-profit organization he has long supported with his 87 and Running foundation. Some of Kelce’s teammates were on hand, as were members of the Current.

Forward Kristen Hamilton took part in the event, as did goalkeepers Tyler McCarney and Laurel Ivory. Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis and linebacker Drue Tranquill were on hand, too.

Operation Breakthrough shared photos in an Instagram post, and others posted pictures on X.

Operation Breakthrough’s goal is “to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.”

It appears a good time was had by all.
