Joe’s Kansas City will sell 2 versions of its Z-Man sandwich at Royals games this season
The Royals will miss a golden opportunity if they don’t have manager Matt Quatraro involved in a promotion about the newest food offering coming to Kauffman Stadium.
The Royals on Tuesday announced that Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que will be selling its signature Z-Man sandwich at Kauffman Stadium starting this season.
Why not have the Q-Man talking about the Z-Man, right?
“Joe’s is very excited to be a new vendor partner with a great organization like the Royals,” Joe’s vice president Ryan Barrows said in a news release. “Serving championship barbecue near the fountains at The K while the Royals chase the pennant is a very proud moment for our employees and brand.”
Royals fans will have two Z-Man options at games: beef brisket or smoked pulled chicken with BBQ mayonnaise. Both will have smoked provolone cheese and two crispy onion rings on a Kaiser roll. The other food item from Joe’s will be onion rings.
Fans will find Joe’s Bar-B-Que items in right field, adjacent to the Outfield Experience, the Royals said. The Z-Man is considered one of the most iconic dishes in Kansas City.
Actor Paul Rudd, who attended Shawnee Mission West, even has it delivered to New York.
“Kansas City is proud to be home to the best barbecue in the world, so the Royals are excited to announce that Joe’s will be coming to right field at Kauffman Stadium for the 2025 season,” Royals chief operating officer Jason Sinnarajah said in a news release. “As a continuation to some of our efforts in 2024 to bring more local food offerings to our fans, we wanted to bring a Kansas City favorite, the Z-Man, to The K.”
