An unconfirmed report from a New York tabloid has kicked up speculation about where fans might see Taylor Swift with Travis Kelce in the future.

Maybe more in Nashville than Kansas City?

Since she ended her record-breaking Eras Tour in early December, Swift has been in Kansas City visiting young patients at Children’s Mercy and partying with friends and family at a birthday bash Kelce threw for her.

The New York Post’s Page Six has quoted an unnamed “insider” that the celebrity couple soon will be spending more time together in Nashville, where the singer has two homes. Kelce owns a home in Leawood in Johnson County.

“It looks like this may be Taylor’s domestic era,” the insider told the Post. “It also looks like Taylor is going to make Nashville more of a home base than LA or NY since it’s closer to Kansas City, and her mom, Andrea, loves (Nashville) too.”

The Swift and Kelce families were recently in Nashville together, spending Thanksgiving in the city where Swift started her musical career, People magazine reported. It would have been the first Thanksgiving the couple celebrated together, since Swift was in South America on tour at that time last year.

Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, hosted the Kelces — including Jason Kelce and his family — in Nashville, the magazine reported.

“Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year,” People’s source said. “It was very festive and special.”

Kelce and the Chiefs played the Las Vegas Raiders the day after Thanksgiving at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift was there, arriving with her father and Donna Kelce.

Even as she crisscrossed the globe on her nearly two-year tour, Nashville and Kansas City have been frequent stops for Swift this year — at least for her plane.

A recent report about airports that Swift’s private jet visited in 2024 revealed that it landed in Nashville most often. The Kansas City Wheeler Airport downtown was the jet’s second-most visited airport, according to an analysis of JetSpy data from aviation website Simple Flying.

Just FYI, Nashville to Kansas City is a one-hour-and-16-minute flight nonstop, according to Travel Math.

Among Swift’s vast real estate portfolio, estimated by Business Insider to be worth at least $100 million, are two homes in Nashville.

She made her first major purchase there in 2009 when she was 20 — a 3,240-square-foot, industrial-style, three-bedroom penthouse in a luxury condo building, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Nashville’s Music Row.

She spent 18 months renovating the home in a style she once described to Vanity Fair as “Tim Burton-Alice in Wonderland-pirate ship-Peter Pan.” It had a koi pond in the middle of the living room and at one time she kept a photo displayed of Kanye West famously interrupting her at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

In 2021 it was appraised at nearly $4 million, according to Business Insider.

According to Architectural Digest, she also bought a one-bedroom unit right below hers and still owns this property.

In 2011 she bought a six-acre property in the gated Northumberland Estate community in a quiet Nashville suburb called Forest Hills for $2.5 million. According to Architectural Digest, Swift bought the home for her parents, “who have lived in Nashville since she was 14 and she still owns, this property.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban reportedly live in the same secluded enclave.

The 5,600-square-foot mansion is a Greek Revival-style house built around 1934. According to House and Garden, Swift redesigned the four-bedroom home to fit her more contemporary tastes, including converting a 2,000-square-foot guesthouse into a recording studio.

Though Swift was born in Pennsylvania, Nashville is Taylor Swift mecca, with several locations fans visit when they make the pilgrimage.

Of course, there’s the Grand Ole Opry, where Swift debuted on the famous stage in 2006. There’s a photo of her backstage.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum displays memorabilia from her career and is home to the Taylor Swift Education Center.

Fans know that she was 14 when she performed at The Bluebird Cafe, where she met record executive Scott Borchetta who signed her to his Big Machine Records.

Last year when Swift took her Eras Tour to Nashville, she learned about a bench placed in her honor in the city’s Centennial Park.

The plaque says: “Welcome home, Nashville.”

Swift and Kelce have not publicly shared any post-Chiefs season plans, so any talk of their whereabouts after the playoffs (and Super Bowl?) is just speculation.

And speaking of rumors, Swift’s fans over the last couple of days conjured excitement over a possible Swift-Dolly Parton collaboration when they noticed the “Jolene” singer is now following Swift on Instagram.
