The 21st annual Automobilia Moonlight Car Show & Street Party will go on as originally scheduled, if money is raised. The show, a summer mainstay in Old Town, will run from 6 p.m. until midnight on July 11. It had previously been listed as canceled on its website.

There was an issue with insurance coverage for the show that prompted the cancellation notice on the Automobilia website.

Gary Carpenter, the event organizer, said Saturday, “(The) city has given us an extension to get our insurance. We're working on it and plan to do the show.” An online funding campaign has been set up to aid with insurance costs, at gofundme.com/automobilia.

“Donations are critical if this show is to continue,” Carpenter said.
