Carroll's Kathryn Mies took a shot to the mouth that forced her to come out of the game in the first half, but she returned to hit a three-pointer that pushed the Eagles' lead to nine points with under a minute left in their 53-46 win at Southeast on Saturday.

Bishop Carroll had two double-figure scorers in Sarah Balderas with 19 points and Jana Reichenberger with 12.

Southeast was led by Jamillah Bonner's 17 points.

Northwest 48, North 35 — Northwest played sluggishly, committing 21 turnovers and shooting 16 of 53 from the floor. Northwest pulled away late in the first half, but never dominated.

North got within 15-13 in the second quarter when freshman Maddie Northcutt scored inside. Northcutt made 9 of 10 shots, had 12 rebounds, four blocked shots and four steals as she led all scorers with 22 points. She had 15 of North's 17 first-half points.

Northwest was led by Alaina Shine's 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Brianna Caldwell had 12 points and five steals.

Heights 69, Kapaun Mount Carmel 44 — Down by one point with 2:20 left in the second quarter, Heights went on an 11-2 run to take a 33-24 halftime lead.

The Falcons never looked back, outscoring Kapaun 36-20 in the second half.

Heights' Mary Sims had a game-high 20 points and Jhasmin Bowen followed with 17 points. Katie Andersen led Kapaun with 15 points.
