Jada Lynch wasn’t even supposed to play in Heights’ 64-23 win over Southeast Friday night. Her grandfather’s funeral had taken place just a couple hours before the game, but she decided at the last minute to suit up.

Playing with a little extra inspiration, Lynch came off the bench for the Falcons and scored a game-high 14 points — 12 in the first half — and played a huge role in her team’s first-half domination of the Buffaloes.

Heights outscored Southeast 13-3 and led 34-8 at halftime, forcing 18 first-half turnovers.
