Craig Nicholson scored 23 points, going 4 for 4 at the free-throw line in the final quarter to help Northwest pull away from West in the second half for a 66-54 victory Friday night.

Northwest led 28-27 at halftime, and Nicholson (7), Kendrick Miller (7) and June Johnson (6) scored all 20 of the Grizzlies’ third-quarter points for a nine-point lead.

Northwest went 8 for 10 at the line in the fourth period.

Dorian Flourney and Daylin Thomas paced West in scoring with 13 each.
