Introducing the Wichita Eagle’s 2026 All-Metro boys golf team

The Wichita Eagle has selected its All-Metro boys golf team for the 2026 spring season, recognizing the top players and coaches from Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties.

Selections were made with a heavy emphasis on postseason success, scoring average and feedback from area coaches. The All-Metro team includes three teams, with the first team featuring the area’s top eight players and coach of the year.

Bishop Carroll freshman Kaden Leivian was named the All-Metro Player of the Year after finishing second in scoring average in Kansas and helping the Golden Eagles to a top-three finish at the Class 5A state tournament.

Bishop Carroll freshman Kaden Leivian shot an 8-under round of 64 earlier this season to capture the individual medalist honors at the Class 5A sub-state tournament held at Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Bronx Esterline, Collegiate freshman

One of the nation’s top players in the Class of 2029, Esterline made an immediate impact in his debut high school season. He won two tournaments, including the AV-CTL Division IV title and finished runner-up at both a Class 3A regional and the 3A state tournament to help Collegiate capture the team championship. He finished with a 73.9 scoring average, which ranked in the top 25 in Kansas.

Max Farber, Bishop Carroll senior

A Washburn signee, he capped his career with a 72.9 scoring average, the 15th-best mark in Kansas this season. He delivered another strong postseason finish by placing sixth at the Class 5A state tournament, giving him a top-15 finish at state for the third straight year while helping Bishop Carroll bring home a third-place team trophy.

Colt Farrow, Andover Central senior

A four-time All-Metro selection and one of the nation’s top players in the Class of 2026, the Colorado signee finished with a 71.5 scoring average, the seventh-best mark in Kansas this season. The defending 5A state champion did not compete at state this year, instead playing in a TaylorMade event.

Anderson Helmer, Circle senior

A three-time All-Metro selection and Fort Lewis College signee, he finished with a 73.8 scoring average, the 20th-best mark in Kansas this season. The former Class 4A state champion as a freshman in 2023 won three tournaments this spring, including a 4A regional title, before placing fifth at the 4A state tournament with a 36-hole total of 141.

Landon Langston, Collegiate junior

After suffering a broken leg during football season, he endured an up-and-down spring while working his way back into form. But he saved his best golf for the biggest stage, winning Class 3A individual medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 145 for his only tournament victory of the season. His clutch finish also helped Collegiate complete a postseason sweep of team titles.

Kaden Leivian, Bishop Carroll freshman

One of the nation’s elite golfers in the Class of 2029, he wasted no time showing why in his debut high school season. A first-time All-Metro selection, he finished with a 70.0 scoring average, the second-best mark in Kansas this season, and won four tournaments, including the City League title and a Class 5A regional championship with an 8-under round of 64 at Rolling Hills. He capped his freshman season by placing fifth at the 5A state tournament with a 36-hole total of 147.

Cohen Museousky, Goddard sophomore

Museousky saved his best golf for the postseason, bouncing back from a slow start by his standards to finish with a 74.7 scoring average, a top-30 mark in Kansas this season. He finished runner-up at league and at a Class 5A regional with under-par scores, then broke through for his only tournament victory of the season on the biggest stage by winning 5A state medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 143. His late-season surge earned him his first All-Metro selection.
