Maize boys win team bowling crown; Wichita South and Collegiate win individual titles

The Maize boys won their first state bowling team title since 2007, collecting a score of 2,747 total pins to beat Goddard for the Class 6A title Thursday at Northrock Lanes.

Wichita South's William Paul rolled a 728 series to capture the individual 6A title. Wichita Collegiate's Jack Stewart won the Class 5-1A individual title with a 766 series.

Competition for the girls championships will be Friday at Northrock.
