Mac McNish, Buhler win 4A golf titles

Buhler placed four golfers in the top 20, including individual champion Mac McNish, and won the Class 4A golf tournament on Wednesday at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson.

Buhler’s team score of 293 was 17 strokes ahead of Rose Hill and Wamego. McNish, a senior, shot 67 and finished three strokes ahead of runner-up Eric Pahls of Kansas City Piper.

McNish combined with Dylan Schmitt (75), Connor Ridder (75) and Ryan Anderson (76) for the winning team score.

Andale’s Pete Carney placed eighth with a 74. Trinity Academy (328) was eighth of 12 teams.
