Hayley Meisch scored 17 points and one was one of three Andover players in double figures as the Trojans dominated Salina Central 48-29 in the girls championship game of the Salina Invitational on Saturday evening at the Bicentennial Center.
Kaitlyn Day added 15 points and leading scorer Jaylyn Agnew had 10 on the way to MVP honors.
Andover led 18-14 at halftime and blitzed Central with a 19-5 third quarter to take command.
Clearwater 39, Wellington 37 – The Indians got 10 points from Collin Neises to win the Chaparral tournament championship. Trevor Nance and A.J. Snipes had 10 points each to lead Wellington.
St. John 64, West 41 – St. John opened a 14-2 first-quarter lead and extended the lead in the second quarter to claim its own tournament title. Javon Reed had 11 points to lead West, which had won its only two games earlier in the tournament.
Heights 40, SM East 39 – Semaj Hervey scored 13 points and Davon Gill added 11 as the Falcons took third place in the McPherson tournament. Gill made two free throws with 3.1 seconds for a three-point lead, then SM East made a two-point shot at the buzzer.
Wellsville 70, Augusta 64 – Dustyn McEachern scored a season-high 30 points for the Orioles, but Augusta was outscored 12-6 in overtime to take fourth place in the Baldwin tournament. Logan Weakley added 13 for Augusta.
Mulvane 77, Belle Plaine 35 – Mulvane won seventh place in the Chaparral tournament with 22 points from Jaden Dulaney and 21 from Troy Baker. Brandon Happy had 23 points to lead Belle Plaine.
