Collegiate’s first lead against Wellington came with seven seconds to play Tuesday night, but the Spartans turned it into a 41-39 victory in an AV-CTL Division IV game at Collegiate.
The lead came when a side inbounds pass was sent into the post to junior Addison Root, who made the shot and was fouled. Wellington had an opportunity to tie, but Lauryn Snipes missed the front-end of a 1-and-1 free throw with 1.7 seconds left.
Root finished with 14 points for Collegiate (5-1), while Wellington (2-4) was led by 17 points from Avery Rusk and 14 from Snipes.
Kapaun 59, East 27 – The Crusaders rolled to 6-0 with a big night from Sam Bachrodt. Bachrodt finished with 24 points in three quarters of work, outscoring East's entire roster when she went out of the game with Kapaun leading 55-23. Freshman Brenna Monty added 14 points for the Crusaders.
North 46, Northwest 43, OT – Aliyah Bernard scored 12 points and Danisha Brown added 11 as the North beat Northwest in overtime. Naria Hall had 14 points and Alex Jennings 13 for Northwest.
Heights 62, Southeast 28 – Trinity Conley had 19 points and Jaelynn McLaurian had 16 to lead Heights to a home victory. Natoria McCoy had 11 to lead the Buffaloes.
South 86, West 10 – Unbeaten South scored 40 first-quarter points and 30 third-quarter points to beat winless West. Patriece Dodson and Kendrian Elliott had 14 points each to lead the Titans.
Newton 58, Campus 35 – Taylor Stahly scored 24 points to lead Newton at home. The Railers held Campus to 12 first-half points. Payton Roberts-Parker had 12 points for Newton, while Reagan Brown had 17 and Hayley Leeper 11 for Campus.
Andale 66, Clearwater 11 – Host Andale got 16 points from Lauren Rowland and 11 from Rachel Friedrichs in the Division III victory.
Andover 46, Eisenhower 44 – Kaitlyn Day scored 16 points to lead the host Trojans. Brynn Minor hade 15 points for Eisenhower.
Circle 42, Mulvane 35 – Caylie Kifer and Emily Dennison each scored 12 points to lead the host Thunderbirds, who took control of a tie game headed into the fourth quarter. Emma Chambers scored 14 points to lead Mulvane.
Derby 26, Salina South 23 – Derby took a 9-0 first-quarter lead, trailed 23-18 after three quarters, then held visiting Salina South scoreless in the fourth quarter. Grace Mitchell had 16 points to lead the Panthers.
Valley Center 51, Arkansas City 42 – Bethany Reeves scored 13 points and Taylor Latimer and Kylie Webber added 10 for visiting Valley Center in a Division II victory. Kaitlyn Potter scored 22 points for Ark City.

Independent 52, Belle Plaine 27 – Eleven Panthers scored in the CPL home victory, led by Elizabeth Jarvis’ 10 points. Bethany Balzer had 12 points for Belle Plaine.
Conway Springs 37, Douglass 28 – Sara Echelberry had 18 points and Alicia Carter added 11 for host Conway Springs, which held Douglass to seven first-half points.
Garden Plain 42, Cheney 31 – Noelle Dooley (12 points) and Taylor Joplin (10) helped the visiting Owls pull away in a close game in the fourth quarter.
Trinity Academy 66, Bluestem 26 – Micala Hollinger and Kayleigh Schrag scored 13 points each to lead the Knights to a road victory. Ally Henderson added 10 points for Trinity, which led 43-16 at halftime.
