Connor Evans scored 18 points and Mike Wilbert added 14 points as Bishop Carroll held on for a 59-56 win over struggling Southeast on Friday night.
Jerrick Harding led the Buffaloes with 24 points, but Southeast goes into the break 1-4. Carroll improved to a surprising 4-1, with its only loss coming to unbeaten East.
Kapaun 86, Northwest 62 — Kapaun improved to 4-0 with four players in double-digit scoring, led by Atir Cherne’s 20 points and Thomas O’Connor’s 19 points. Brock Monty added 12 points and Michael Lickteig had 10 points for the Crusaders, who led 37-35 at halftime. Northwest dropped to 1-3.
North 65, West 43 — North’s Andrew Sanders scored 19 points and teammate Keandre Champion added 14 points in a battle of winless teams. Caleb Moore led West with 11 points.
Andover Central 58, Valley Center 36 — Darraja Parnell lit up Valley Center for 28 points and teammate Cole Taylor added 15 points as Andover Central stayed unbeaten. Valley Center didn’t have a player reach double figures and the Jaguars led 36-16 at halftime.
Maize South 66, Arkansas City 30 — Maize South improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in AV-CTL II play behind 11 points each from Cole Koster and Paul Reichenberger.
Collegiate 72, Clearwater 38 — Collegiate busted open the game in the third quarter, outscoring Clearwater 21-5 for a 58-21 lead headed into the fourth quarter of an AV-CTL IV game. Cam Christian led Collegiate with 21 points. Xzavaier Adams added 11 points for the Spartans, who go into the break with a 5-0 record.
Newton 52, Goddard 39 — Jack Kingsley was the only Railer in double figures with 14 points as Newton improved to 5-1. Goddard was led by Bryant Mocaby’s 15 points.
Maize 67, Campus 29 — AV-CTL I scoring leader Ky-Sean Johnson led all scorers with 21 points as Maize cruised to the win.
Wellington 70, Mulvane 52 — Trevor Nance scored 23 points and AJ Snipes added 17 points for Wellington. Jace Price led Mulvane (1-4, 0-2) with 27 points.

Cheney 53, Conway Springs 31 — Cheney took a 31-11 lead into halftime and Conway Springs never threatened in both teams’ CPL opener. Ty Patterson and Isaiah Grover led Cheney with 12 points each.
Independent 64, Bluestem 41 — Independent’s Chris Taylor scored 20 points as the Panthers rolled to the win.
Trinity Academy 61, Douglass 33 — Trinity Academy won its fourth straight game as it cruised past host Douglass. Matt Jones scored 16 points in the first three quarters, while Alex Carro added 10 and Christian Harvey came off the bench to score 10. The Knights forced 18 turnovers through the first three periods.
