Calea Carr scored 14 points and Cassie Pauls added 13 as Northwest won its home opener, beating West 67-21 in a City League girls game on Tuesday.
The Grizzlies scored the first 20 points of the game and the first 13 of the third quarter.
Angelia Murray led West with 11 points, including three three-pointers.

Heights 75, North 20 — Annalys Benally was one of four Falcons in double figures, scoring 21 points as the Falcons cruised to their first win. Tania Lowe added 14 poitns and Kiersten Parks and Athena Alvarado had 10 each.
Carroll 51, East 27 — Shelby Lopez (11 points) and Jordyn Miller (13 points) forced 10 steals and East into 25 turnovers to improve to 2-0. The Eagles held East to a single point in the second quarter, holding East scoreless on 16 of its 17 possessions. The Blue Aces (0-2) were led by Kimirra Lee’s eight points.
Winfield 52, Andale 46 — Winfield took command in the fourth quarter at home. Brittany Meyer had 17 points to lead the Indians, while Winfield’s Courtney Griffiths had 13.
Campus 64, Arkansas City 39 — Campus pulled away in the second half behind Hayley Leeper’s 17 pooints and 11 from Kyra Ivy. Ark City’s Kaitlyn Potter scored 15.
Derby 45, Goddard 38 — Trailing by a basket at halftime, the host Panthers rallied in the second half for an inter-division victory. Katie Hartman had 13 for Derby while Jessica Gardiner led the Lions with 14.
Cheney 58, Collegiate 28 — The visiting Cardinals blitzed Collegiate with a 29-8 first quarter and 47-14 halftime lead. Taylor Needham led Cheney with 16 points, while Jewell Bolden had 15 for Collegiate.
Circle 52, Independent 34 — Katelynn Wilson ahd 17 points an Katie Frankenbery had 14 as the Thunderbirds won a home game in their own tournament. Elizabeth Jarvis had 12 points for the visiting Panthers.
Hesston 61, Garden Plain 37 — Kelsey Unruh scored 23 points and Cami Richardson and Megan Voth were also in double figures for the visiting Swathers. Daylynn Doyle led Garden Plain with 11 points.
