Trevon Evans rallied Goddard Eisenhower from a six-point deficit after three quarters to a 63-52 victory over Kansas City, Mo., East on Tuesday night in the first round of the Spring Hill Tournament.
Trailing 44-38 to start the fourth quarter, Eisenhower turned up its defense to get several baskets off turnovers.
Evans scored 22 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter. He wound up with 14 two-pointers and was 6 for 6 at the free-throw line.
He boosted his scoring average from 28.8 to 29.3.

Eisenhower will play Spring Hill at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. The tourney winds up Friday.
Rose Hill 60, Cheney 49 — Rose Hill outscored the Cardinals 16-7 in the second quarter and played even with their opponents the rest of the way. Bret Waddell had 14 of his 22 points in the second period. Austin Waddell contributed 15 points with eight in the fourth quarter, six of them on three-pointers. Cheney’s Gabe Schomacker led all scorers with 27 points, hitting all nine of his free throw attempts.
Bluestem 56, Hutchinson Trinity 54 — Bluestem hit six three-pointers and held off a second-half rally behind 14 points from Josh Muckenthaler and 13 points from Trevis Farthing.
Maize South 65, Remington 62 — Maize South scored just four points in the third quarter before bouncing back with 25 in the fourth for the win. Kade Kordonowy led the Mavericks with 17 points.
Wichita Independent 64, Sterling 52 — Independent’s Brice Dean led all scorers with 25 points in a win over host Sterling.
Anderson County 55, Augusta 35 — Augusta trailed 39-18 after three quarters in a rout at the Baldwin Tournament. .
