I’m curious as to what lengths parents currently go for their kids to participate in extracurricular activities. We all know about those parents whose vacations are planned around where the next AAU/MAYB/baseball/softball/volleyball tournament is. I know there’s a ton of money spent on it.
Many of you are like me and will be spending five nights this week at the ballpark.
But to what lengths would you go?
Would you sell your home and move across town so your child can go play for a better school or escape a conflict with a coach or because your child can’t participate?

Would you start a fund-raiser to keep music programs in your school when they are cut?
Would you take a school district/summer-league team to court because your kid doesn’t play enough?
