Coach Gary Squires
22-22 in two seasons
Frankamp (16 points) thrilled with his ballhandling ability, but he could get a lot more attention from teams as North lost five seniors and four starters. Squires has five freshmen on varsity.
Frankamp will have to score and score a lot for North, and the team will have to look for him in transition to take some of the pressure off of him.
North's success will be determined by how quickly it can pick up Squires' man-to-zone defenses.
Coach Jeanne Daniels
7-14 in one season
The Redskins lost 5-10 junior post player Naomi Rosales (13 points, 14 rebounds) in a fall league game in October. Rosales tore her left anterior cruciate ligament and would have been North's only returning starter.
Daniels said she's seen promise in Patterson, Elliott and Northcutt, who will have to step in and learn quickly to fill that 14-rebound-per-night void.
Williams and Evans look to provide a quick-striking backcourt combination. Daniels says the team doesn't really have a pure shooter so it will have to look for points in transition.
