BREAKDOWN

Heights (23-2) is the team to beat, returning all five starters from its championship team. The Falcons are ranked in the Top 25 in six national polls.

With top Division I prospect Ellis and Wichita State signee Wessel leading the pack, Auer said his team is more confident in being the hunted.

Ellis has added 10 pounds of muscle in addition to working on his perimeter shooting and ballhandling. These new aspects of his game should spread the floor more and create scoring opportunities for teammates.

Pulliam says the team used its shortcoming in the championship game as motivation and focused on getting stronger in the weight room and on the court.

The Falcons (23-2) will rely on guards Sims (10 points, 4 assists) and Chandler (11 points, 4 assists) to orchestrate the tempo.
