I’d love to hear where you were tonight and what results you have from any sporting event.
I was out at Rose Hill and saw some awfully good volleyball matches. Circle went 3-0, handling Collegiate before being tested by Rose Hill in three games. Circle also beat Wellington. Collegiate and Rose Hill went to three games to end the night, and that’s when I saw the most impressive thing. In volleyball, so often you see teams that are trailing turn to tipping. But Rose Hill’s Jessica McDougald had three huge kills with Rose Hill trailing 24-21. Her kills came on points 22, 23, 25. That’s how volleyball should be played — all out, all the time.
Frankly, that’s true for all sports.

Circle has some nice players in Hanna Flaming, Kyrstie Ehm and I really liked Sam Jernigan, a 6-2 senior. Haley Barrett is so athletic. Collegiate has two top-notch hitters in Ashia Woods (whose domination especially comes on a slide) and Torrie Rupe.
I was especially impressed with the liberos at Circle (Courtney Kifer) and Rose Hill’s Rashel Chickadonz. They were able to get all over the floor and pass really well.
So who stood out to you tonight?
