Amarillo rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Wichita Wingnuts 8-7 on Sunday in Amarillo, Texas.
Trailing 7-4 to start the bottom of the ninth, Tim Alberts delivered the game-winning hit with a three-run double after the Sox cut the Wingnuts' lead to 7-5.
Wichtita led 3-0 in the first inning, capping things off with an RBI triple from Josh Workman. Junior Guerra started for the Wingnuts and allowed four earend runs in five innings with four strikeouts for the non-decision. Cephas Howard took the loss for Wichita, giving up four runs in just 2/3of an inning.
Wichita opens a three-game series today against Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas.
