Josh Horn went 3 for 5 with a home run and three runs as the Wichita Wingnuts defeated the Lincoln Saltdogs 11-7 on Monday night at Lincoln, Neb.
The Wingnuts connected for 15 hits in the game and scored in six different innings.
Tied 5-5 in the top of the seventh inning, Wichita reeled off four runs to take a 9-5 lead. The Wingnuts added two more runs in the eighth, including a two-out, RBI double from Michael Bell.
Wichita's Ryan Patterson extended his hitting streak to 16 games by going 2 for 6 with two runs and an RBI.
Bubba O'Donnell was the winning pitcher for the Winguts, going six innings while giving up five hits, five earned runs and striking out five.
The second game of the three-game series is tonight in Lincoln.
