The Wichita Wingnuts lost to the St. Paul Saints 9-0 on Sunday night at St. Paul, Minn.
The Saints led 3-0 after the first inning after a two-RBI single from Brent Krause.
After Brandon Carter's second double of the game set up Ole Sheldon for his second RBI single — both scored Carter — Jason Cooper hit a two-run home run to give St. Paul a 7-0 lead in the fourth.
In the bottom of the sixth, Carter and Sheldon started the inning off with back-to-back singles and were driven in on a double from Krause.

Wichita's Gabe Medina allowed a season-high nine earned runs in 5 1/3 innings for the loss. Medina allowed 11 hits and walked four. Zach Peterson was the winning pitcher for St. Paul.
The Wingnuts open the second half of the season at St. Paul on Tuesday and return to Wichita on Friday to host the Grand Prairie AirHogs.
