Patterson leads Wingnuts to win over Pensacola

Ryan Patterson went 3 for 5 with a pair of three-run home runs to lead the Wichita Wingnuts to a 12-5 win over Pensacola at Pensacola, Fla. Patterson finished with seven RBIs to tie the Wingnuts' single-game record.

Trailing 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning, Wichita rallied to take a 4-3 lead on an RBI single from Jorge Cortes before Patterson connected for his first home run and a 7-3 Wingnuts lead.

Patterson hit his second home run in the seventh. Adam Cowart pitched 5 1/3 innings with five strikeouts and one earned run for the win.

The Wingnuts start a three-game series against the Shreveport Captains today at Shreveport, La.
