The Tulsa Oilers scored a quick goal and never relinquished the lead, beating the Thunder 3-1 on Saturday night in Tulsa.
Adam Plekach put Tulsa on the board with a goal less than three minutes into the game. The Oilers added a power-play goal from Ryan Menei midway through the first period, taking a 2-0 lead that they maintained into the third period.
Matt Robinson scored the Thunder’s goal at 3:37 of the third period. Tulsa’s Michael Beausoleil scored at 12:22, re-establishing the two-goal margin.
The Thunder finishes a busy weekend with a home game Sunday against Missouri. The Mavericks beat the Thunder on Friday night.
